Dr. Bains completed her Bachelors in Human Kinetics degree at the University of British Columbia, majoring in exercise physiology. With her strong passion for health care, Dr. Bains went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Vision Sciences, in addition to her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Eye Institute at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Bains completed her ocular disease internship at Braverman Eye Center in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Here she acquired experience in the treatment and management of ocular disease, pre and post-operative lasik and cataract care. Over the past 3 years, Dr. Bains has had the opportunity to provide eye care services for diverse patient populations all over North America including Florida, Texas, and Ontario. She has acquired extensive experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Bains is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the College of Optometrists of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Optometrists, and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Bains is an active individual who enjoys playing volleyball, running and travelling in her free time.
